Season's Greetings from NSP National Executive Council
Dear respected NSP members,

We the governing Council of the Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy (NSP) wish our members at home and abroad, merry Christmas and prosperous 2013. It is our earnest prayer that God grant you and your family good health, peace, joy, happiness, protection and divine favours.
 
Below are highlights of our on-going plans and actions:
  • The Unity project is on course and we are counting the gains as evident by the comeback of many Physiotherapists to the fold. Our aspiration to raise the profile of the profession and operate the NSP as a victory community are receiving due attention. We pledge to continue to organize and execute around priority issues and be extremely focused. The NSP NEC is working tirelessly on the National Post Graduate Physiotherapy College, DPT, members welfare, job creation and other front burner issues. Please join hands with us in this all inclusive administration.
  • November 12th-16th, 2012: The Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria, MLSCN in collaboration with Management Sciences for Health (MSH) organized leadership and management training workshop for Registrars of the Regulatory agencies in Health and professional association Presidents. The shared VISION we developed is “Improved health care delivery services driven by synergy amongst healthcare professionals and effective regulations”. The NSP President attended the workshop.
  • 27th November, 2012: Nigerian Association of Physiotherapy Students (NAPS) Convention held at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun state  where the issue on student membership of the NSP was revisited. NSP President was ably represented by Alhaji Wasiu Jimoh, the Auditor II of the NSP.
  • 27th November, 2012: Ogun State chapter of NSP (OGNSP) Annual General Meeting held at Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state. A twenty point action plan that will strengthen the chapter and the NSP was presented to the chapter and the action plans will form the template for all the NSP state chapters. The President was ably represented by Iyabo Okulaja, the secretary to the Committee of Heads of Physiotherapy Departments.
  • 5th December, 2012: Inauguration and Handing Over ceremony for the National Executive Council (NEC) of NSP at Ibadan, Oyo state.
  • 5th December, 2012: The NSP website was upgraded and redesigned in conformity with modern technology. You can visit the site at www.nigeriaphysio.org. Please, like us on NSP facebook (https://facebook/nigeriaphysio), follow us on twitter (https://twitter.com/nigeriaphysio) and check up our Wikipedia projects. It is worthy of note that Dr. E.B. John through personal efforts, funding and selfless service to the NSP re-designed the upgraded NSP website. Dr. E.B. John designed the first ever NSP website and came back in 2009 to resuscitate the website for a period of five years at no cost to the Society.
  • 5th-6th December, 2012: Inaugural meeting of the newly elected NEC.
  • 5th December, 2012: Ondo state chapter of NSP (ODNSP) won the hosting right for 2013 NSP Annual Scientific Conference and AGM.
  • 10th December, 2012: Health Reform Coalition meeting on the National Health Bill. The bill has passed the first reading and the second reading was held on 11th December, 2012 at Senate Chambers. The NSP was ably represented by Mr. Moses Ajani.
  • 15th December, 2012: Second NEC meeting held on skype videoconferencing.
  • 23rd December, 2012: Third NEC meeting held on skype videoconferencing.
