The significance of this year's celebration cannot be over emphasized with the background that a milestone is always a memorable occasion in a lifetime and the 50th anniversary of the Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy is that talking point. It is time to celebrate the labours of our heroes past that will never be in vain.

The Conference with the theme "50 Years of the Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy: Changing the culture, Making a Difference" is informed by an urgent and passionate advocacy towards looking inwards and re-evaluating ourselves as professionals. In the era of evidence-based and standadrized outcome measures of practice, the sub-theme "Best Practice in Physiotherapy" was born.
